PC GAME FIX GUIDES
PC Game Troubleshooting Guides
Start with what you see, then compare one reversible change. These 28 English guides cover common Windows PC game problems; use the publisher’s instructions for game-specific requirements.
Windows and hardware requirements
Check the exact game’s OS, TPM, Secure Boot and hardware ray-tracing requirements before changing firmware or replacing hardware.
Sound and controller input
Separate app volume from Windows output, controller recognition from game support, and a short press from duplicate input.
Save backups and Cloud conflicts
Preserve progress before repairs or synchronization choices. Keep independent copies and stop if the intended version is unclear.
Launch and game files
Nothing happens after Play, files are missing, or verification leaves the same error.
Crashes and missing pictures
The game closes, stays black, or has sound without a picture. First separate a game problem from a Windows-wide failure.
Drivers and performance
Check a driver change, consistently low FPS or occasional hitches. These symptoms need different comparisons.
Before changing files or drivers
Record the error and the last change. Keep a separate save backup, preserve mod records and avoid overwriting a mod-dependent save during a test. Restore settings that do not help. A repaired file or one successful launch is evidence to compare, not a guaranteed diagnosis.
If the entire PC restarts, shows a stop code or loses its display, use the relevant Windows or device-maker guidance before repeating game-only fixes.
