WINDOWS PC TROUBLESHOOTING

Windows PC Troubleshooting Guides

Start with what is affected: Windows itself, one app, or one connected device. Record the error and recent changes, then compare one setting or connection at a time. These 20 English guides include expected results, what to do if a check fails and how to undo changes.

Choose the matching symptom

For sound problems, separate incoming microphone audio from playback and compare Windows with the affected app. For Bluetooth, distinguish the PC’s switch and adapter from a peripheral that cannot be discovered. A connection label alone does not prove that audio or input works.

If a problem started after an update, record its time, KB number and driver version. Timing helps the investigation but does not prove the update caused the fault. Before spending money, compare warranty, compatible upgrades, repair scope and data migration.

Before changing the PC

Save work when the PC is safe to use. Keep an alternative keyboard or mouse available before changing Bluetooth drivers. On a work or school PC, ask the administrator about restricted settings. Read the selected guide’s conditions before removing a driver, pairing registration or update.

A reset is not a first diagnostic step. If you consider recovery, confirm your important backups and what that specific method keeps or removes. A temporary improvement is not complete recovery if the same symptom returns after restarting.
