The short answer
Steam lists RTX 2060 Super or RX 6600 with 8 GB VRAM, 16 GB system RAM and 75 GB of SSD space for the recommended target. Its Medium 1080p/60 FPS assumption includes frame generation. Capcom requires at least 16 GB VRAM for the High Resolution Texture Pack.

- Recommended hardware
- Core i5-10400 / i3-12100 / Ryzen 5 3600; RTX 2060 Super / RX 6600, 8 GB VRAM; 16 GB RAM.
- Minimum GPU and memory
- GTX 1660 6 GB / RX 5500 XT 8 GB; 16 GB system RAM.
- Storage
- Steam lists 75 GB available on an SSD and DirectStorage support; allow for updates and optional content.
- High Resolution Texture Pack
- 16 GB VRAM minimum; installation itself can affect stability below the requirement.
- CPU instruction support
- The existing game reference lists AVX2; confirm the exact CPU with its manufacturer.
Find your symptom

| What you see | What to check | Go to |
|---|---|---|
| You want to know what recommended means | Its 60 FPS target includes frame generation. | Step 1 |
| The PC is close to minimum | The target is Lowest, upscaled 1080p and 30 FPS. | Step 2 |
| Textures are delayed or performance stalls | Check actual dedicated VRAM and the texture pack. | Step 3 |
| You do not know the PC’s components | Use dxdiag and inspect the installation drive. | Step 4 |

Step 1|Read the recommended target with its conditions
Compare the complete configuration rather than one matching GPU name.
Time: A few minutes · Risk: low
- Compare the CPU with Core i5-10400, Core i3-12100 or Ryzen 5 3600.
- Compare the GPU with RTX 2060 Super 8 GB or RX 6600 8 GB, and check 16 GB system RAM.
- Check 64-bit Windows 10/11, DirectX 12 and at least the listed 75 GB available on an SSD. Confirm current requirements before a purchase.
The store’s expected 60 FPS uses Medium settings at 1080p with frame generation enabled. It is not a fixed measured result for every scene.

Step 2|Understand what minimum hardware targets
Minimum is not a high-quality or high-frame-rate specification.
Time: A few minutes · Risk: low
- Compare the minimum GPU with GTX 1660 6 GB or RX 5500 XT 8 GB, alongside the full CPU/RAM requirements.
- Account for the stated Lowest preset and native 720p upscaled to 1080p at 30 FPS.
- Do not add the High Resolution Texture Pack to a configuration below its separate VRAM requirement.
Capcom says it does not formally provide technical support for PCs below minimum requirements. Matching minimum still does not guarantee every condition.

Step 3|Inspect dedicated VRAM separately from system RAM
Texture problems are not proof of VRAM shortage, but the capacity is a concrete comparison.
Time: A few minutes · Risk: low
- Run dxdiag with Windows + R and inspect the gaming GPU’s dedicated display memory. Do not substitute shared system memory or a different GPU’s value.
- If dedicated VRAM is below 16 GB, disable the High Resolution Texture Pack in Steam’s DLC list and restart Steam before comparing.
- Lower texture quality if the game’s estimated VRAM use exceeds capacity, then repeat the same scene.

Step 4|Record CPU, RAM and installation storage
Use the actual device and library drive, not a similar model name.
Time: Several minutes · Risk: low
- Read the CPU and system-memory values on dxdiag’s System tab.
- Use the CPU manufacturer’s product specification to confirm required instruction support, including AVX2 from the existing reference.
- Confirm the game’s actual library drive is an SSD with sufficient space. The base listing is 75 GB; optional high-resolution content and updates need additional room. Inspect Steam’s actual required download/install space rather than treating an old approximately 150 GB estimate as fixed.
The existing reference favors NVMe for its DirectStorage workload, but the store requirement is SSD. Do not treat NVMe as a guarantee that other bottlenecks disappear.
Results that did not fix the problem help the next reader too.
Avoid
- Do not interpret the recommended 60 FPS target as a promise with frame generation disabled.
- Do not treat an HDD as meeting the listed SSD requirement.
Important cautions
- Requirements and installation sizes can change; inspect the current Steam listing before spending money.
FAQ
Is 16 GB system RAM enough?
It is the listed minimum and recommended amount. Other apps consume memory too; check available memory and the full configuration rather than assuming the RAM number alone settles performance.
Does an RTX 2060 Super guarantee 60 FPS?
No. The expected target is Medium at 1080p with frame generation, and performance varies with the scene and the rest of the PC.
Can I use an HDD?
Both minimum and recommended Steam requirements specify an SSD. An HDD does not meet that requirement.
