Aniimo Launcher Does Not Fit: 1080p Scaling and Multiple Monitors

For the official Windows PC launcher hiding the start button or extending below or beyond the display, especially after moving between monitors.

The short answer

For 1920×1080 displays, the official FAQ specifies scaling of 125% or lower. Record the original value, select the monitor that actually contains the launcher and compare at 125%, then restart the launcher. If it still clips, compare 100% briefly and investigate window position separately.

Step 1|Read the resolution and scale of the launcher’s screen

Windows’ recommended scale can still exceed the game FAQ’s 1080p limit.

Time: About 2 minutes · Risk: low

  1. Right-click an empty desktop area → Display settings, or open Settings → System → Display.
  2. Record Display resolution and Scale. 1920×1080 is 1080p.
  3. If that screen is 1080p at 150% or higher, compare 125% even if Windows labels 150% recommended.
  4. Exit and reopen the Aniimo launcher, then check the start button and its bottom and right edges.

The official 125% limit is specifically for 1080p. Do not impose the same limit on 1440p or 4K without checking the actual configuration.

Step 2|Identify the display actually showing the launcher

The primary display’s scale may be unrelated to clipping on another monitor.

Time: About 3 minutes · Risk: low

  1. Open Settings → System → Display and select Identify.
  2. Select the numbered screen containing the launcher and record its resolution and scale.
  3. For example, if a 1080p laptop screen at 150% clips while a 1440p external screen at 125% works, first compare 125% on the laptop display only.
  4. After moving the launcher, select the new monitor, check its settings and restart the launcher before comparing.

Do not lower every monitor’s scale together when only one screen is affected.

Step 3|Briefly compare 100% if 1080p at 125% still clips

This is a diagnostic comparison, not a requirement to tolerate unreadably small text.

Time: About 2 minutes · Risk: low

  1. Keep the correct display selected, record its present scale and temporarily choose 100%.
  2. Restart the launcher and compare the same previously hidden button and edges.
  3. If it fits, return to 125% and restart again to find the most readable setting that works.
  4. If 100% still clips, try recovering the window position, then record the result for support.

Step 4|Move an off-screen window back into view

Treat position separately from display scaling.

Time: About 1 minute · Risk: low

  1. Select the Aniimo launcher on the taskbar.
  2. Press Alt+Space and choose Move. Use M only if that shortcut appears in the menu.
  3. Press an arrow key, then move the mouse into view, or continue using arrows; press Enter at the intended position.
  4. With the title bar visible, recheck that display’s resolution and scale. If only the bottom still clips, return to the scaling comparison.

Step 5|Check whether restoring the old scale reproduces clipping

Keep the screen and resolution constant.

Time: About 3 minutes · Risk: low

  1. Confirm the sequence, such as fitting at 125% and clipping after restarting at the original 150%.
  2. At 1080p, choose a readable setting within the official limit. If only 100% works but is uncomfortable, compare another display.
  3. If changing monitors triggers the problem, record each screen’s resolution, scale and post-restart result.
  4. If it still clips within the official 1080p range or the working scale is unusable, send the screen layout, display number, resolution, scale and reproduction steps to the official support contact. The original guide lists the Japanese desk, support_jp@aniimo.com.

A Windows recommendation is a general display guideline; a repeatable failure at that scale is not resolved merely because the label says recommended.

Avoid

  • Do not change every monitor’s scale at once.
  • Do not overwrite high-DPI compatibility settings or delete launcher files before recording the original scale and reproduction conditions.

Important cautions

  • 100% can make text and controls small. Choose a readable scale after the comparison.
  • Lowering resolution can blur the display. Record the original configuration and compare scale first.

FAQ

Can I leave Windows at its recommended 150%?

If the launcher clips on a 1080p screen, the official FAQ says 125% or lower. Select that display, compare 125% and reopen the launcher.

Which monitor’s scale should I change?

Use Identify and select the numbered screen actually showing the launcher. Read that screen’s resolution before applying the 1080p guidance.

Why does clipping return when I restore my old scale?

That combination is reproducible. Use a readable working scale or another display; if the official range still fails, report the resolution, scale and screenshot to support.
