Aniimo Login Errors: Queue, Network, Account and Installation Path

For a persistent login wait, network timeout, account-linking problem or missing character after signing in on Windows PC.

The short answer

A displayed queue calls for the queue instructions and official status notices. A network error calls for connection comparison; an account problem calls for the actual login method and selected server. If login still fails, inspect the installation path described in the official FAQ instead of changing Windows account folders.

Key facts

Historical version 1.1 note
The September 23 update addressed a disconnect/reconnect issue; restart and apply available updates before comparing.
A queue shows position or time
Follow the displayed instructions and avoid repeated login attempts.
Network timeout
Compare connectivity, recorded DNS/proxy settings and another connection where available.
Signed in but no character
Match the account and server; old test data is a separate matter.
Non-ASCII installation path
The FAQ recommends a path made from ASCII letters and digits. Do not manually rename the Windows user folder.

Fixes, in order

Step 1|Distinguish a queue from an error

Record the wording before choosing a branch.

Time: About 3 minutes · Risk: low

  1. Record the time and whether the screen shows a queue, network error or account-related message.
  2. Check official maintenance and incident notices and record Steam versus official launcher.
  3. If queue position/time is shown, follow its instructions and see whether it advances. If a specific error appears instead, use its matching branch.

The launch guidance says queues can occur; it does not establish that an outage is happening now.

Step 2|Compare the connection for network errors

Preserve settings before changing one at a time.

Time: About 10 minutes · Risk: low

  1. Check another website. If you use a VPN, proxy or custom DNS, record the original configuration and compare one reversible change at a time.
  2. Record the launcher’s exact timeout/error code. The official FAQ calls for DNS/proxy checks and, if appropriate, restarting the network terminal using the provider’s instructions.
  3. If available, try the same login once on another connection such as phone tethering. A different result narrows the route; failure on both warrants the official notice/error details for support.

Keep the previous settings so they can be restored. Skip network changes when the only symptom is a normal queue.

Results that did not fix the problem help the next reader too.

Step 3|Match the account and server for the actual platform

Authentication failure and a missing character after login need different checks.

Time: About 10 minutes · Risk: low

  1. On Steam, launch from the Library and check Steam sign-in and the Aniimo Pass linkage prompt. On the official launcher, check the selected login method and account.
  2. To use an existing email-based Aniimo Pass on Steam, follow the official linking instructions. If the initial prompt was skipped, inspect the in-game email-linking guidance if accessible; otherwise contact support.
  3. For a missing character after login, compare the previous account and selected server. Progress is shared within the same server; previous test progress does not carry into live service.
  4. For a stalled authentication screen, record its message/time instead of repeatedly entering passwords, unlinking the existing account or creating another one.

Record Steam account, Aniimo Pass and server before changing any linkage.

Step 4|Inspect the actual game installation path

The FAQ identifies non-ASCII installation paths as a possible login problem.

Time: About 20 minutes · Risk: medium

  1. For the official launcher, inspect its top-right settings game-directory location. For Steam, open Aniimo Properties → Installed Files → Browse.
  2. Inspect every directory in the full path. D:\Games\Aniimo is an ASCII example; a non-ASCII parent directory can still trigger the FAQ’s condition.
  3. If applicable, follow the official launcher’s move procedure and select the actual directory using its different-folder setting. On Steam, use a library at an ASCII path and Steam’s supported move-installation action; do not apply the launcher’s directory switch to Steam. Check the resulting path and login again.
  4. If the path was already suitable or the same error remains, stop guessing at folder names and report the platform, error and actual path privately to support.

This concerns the game installation. Do not manually rename the Windows user directory or delete the game folder.

Step 5|Send a concise record through the official support route

Include comparison results that distinguish queue, connection and account problems.

Time: About 10 minutes · Risk: low

  1. Record platform, stopped screen, full error/code, time and selected server.
  2. Add the alternate-connection result, whether the installation path contains non-ASCII characters and whether characters disappear only after successful login.
  3. Use the game’s customer-support menu or F10 if accessible. The original Japanese guide lists support_jp@aniimo.com for users who cannot enter the game; this is the Japanese support desk.

Do not put passwords, verification codes or identity documents into an ordinary support message.

Avoid

  • Do not change DNS or installation paths solely because a queue is displayed.
  • Do not apply the official launcher’s different-folder setting to a Steam installation.
  • Do not unlink an existing account just because a character is missing.

Important cautions

  • Read the queue and official notices before repeatedly reconnecting.
  • Preserve the account/linkage record; do not manually rename Windows user folders.

FAQ

Can I use my PC character on mobile?

The existing official cross-save guidance uses the same account on the same server across platforms. Check both before assuming a character is lost.

How do closed-beta rewards relate to login methods?

The original official rewards guidance says to sign in directly with the CBT email and a verification code rather than a linked Google-style login. If a character already exists under another method or Steam CBT eligibility is involved, consult in-game support before changing accounts.

Is a queue the same as a network timeout?

No. A queue shows position/time and calls for its instructions. A timeout or network error calls for the connection branch.

Why is my old character missing after Steam login?

Check the Aniimo Pass and selected server. Steam has account-linking guidance, and old test progress is not live-service progress.

Must I change my Windows user name for a non-ASCII path?

No. The FAQ concerns the game installation. Use the correct launcher directory procedure or Steam library move; do not rename Windows account folders.
